About the Opportunity
SCBC has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Secondary English Teacher, nestled in our state-of-the-art school facility in vibrant Rockingham, WA.
In this role, you will teach ATAR English to secondary students in Year 7-12 and plan engaging units and lessons following the Western Australian Curriculum.You'll collaborate closely with a team of 6 to 7 enthusiastic English educators, including our Head of the Department, creating a supportive and inspiring atmosphere.
At South Coast Baptist College, we centre our efforts on:
- Creating a fantastic, respectful classroom with effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies
- Using fun and creative teaching methods, including incorporating new technologies and high-engagement strategies
- Communicating with parents to support the academic development and wellbeing of students

More About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma of Education with previous English teaching experience.
You'll be a real people person, brimming with enthusiasm for shaping young minds. As part of our dynamic team, you'll collaborate with your fellow educators to craft an exceptional learning experience for your students, all the while nurturing their spiritual development with warmth and enthusiasm.
Above all, your teaching will align with the school’s principles, and you'll seamlessly embody the school's values and Christian faith in your daily life, you will be a practising (Church-attending) Christian.
You'll also bring:
- Valuable past experience as an English teacher with references
- Up-to-date Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Teacher’s Registration with the TRBWA
Please note: as part of our selection process, you may be required to provide a Pastor’s reference / Christian character reference.
